We created small, low tables with three different heights and tabletop sizes. With different heights,
the 3 tables can be overlapped when placed together, allowing you to create a sense of movement
in the space from the various shapes created by the placement of each table. You can also use
each table separately, of course, with the flexibility to even be used as a side table on either side
of a sofa. You can use these tables depending on the occasion or your guests’ needs, allowing a
change of space based on how they are used and placed together. The solid wood top, support, and
base are carved and connected, giving each table a unique and deep expression, a modern design,
and a particular presence. The edges of the top are delicately turned up like the rim of a serving
dish, keeping bits and pieces on the table. The dish-like tabletop is softly connected to the rounded
support, which in turn is smoothly connected to the rounded base. A steel plate was inserted into
the solid wood tabletop to prevent any curling or deformities.
Like a royal family, these tables are tightly connected, while each unique character is utilized, and
the ideal materials play their part in the most suitable locations. The presence of this connection and
character is where the name Royal family comes from.
